North Paseo Building I
The University of Texas at San Antonio
E+M completed the furniture planning, installation and move coordination for the 245,000 sf. North Paseo Building which houses eleven different departments relocated from facilities across campus.
The new facility allows researchers to study large scale data analysis and visualizations at extremely high quality.
The five story building consists of General Purpose Classrooms and Class Labs on the first floor and a wide variety of both administrative offices and technical research labs on floors two through five. University departments represented include the Institute for Cyber Security, Computer Science, Legal Affairs, Financial Affairs, Human Resources, Audit & Compliance and many others.
Project goals included re-use of approximately 40% of existing furniture. Each of the eleven departments was subject to a thorough inventory and evaluation of all existing assets. Extensive analysis led to a detailed recommendation of which furniture would be relocated and supplemented and which departments required new furniture. Standards for new furniture that were established in the Plaza Norte project were incorporated into similar spaces for this building.
