Kathleen Mulhausen is a founding principal of Edwards + Mulhausen Interior Design, where she has spent the past 27 years creating environments that enhance the way people heal, learn, work, and connect. Throughout her career, she has led the design of numerous renovation and new construction projects for leading healthcare and educational institutions including Baylor Scott & White Health, Ascension Seton, St. David’s HealthCare, Texas A&M Health Science Center, and The University of Texas at Austin.

Driven by a passion for improving the human experience through design, Kathleen believes thoughtfully planned environments can promote well-being, support organizational goals, and foster meaningful connections among the people they serve. Her approach is rooted in human centered design, balancing creativity with functionality to create spaces that are both inspiring and purposeful.

Prior to co-founding Edwards + Mulhausen Interior Design with Harmony Edwards, Kathleen built her professional foundation with internationally recognized architecture design firms PAGE/ and NBBJ. She has remained active in the Austin design community, serving as a guest lecturer at Texas State University and mentoring students through The University of Texas Interior Design program.
